Basic Fire Fighter Training

LEVEL OF PARTICIPANTS

This course is designed for entry level fire personnel's who don't have previous experience in fire service and make them as qualified Rescue & Fire Fighters for Airport/Structural/ Oil Installation/ Urban and Rural Fire Services.

DURATION: 16 Weeks

AIM 

The course aims to provide a theoretical knowledge and practical experience in in fire fighting, operation & maintenance on tof fire appliances and rescue equipments, required to meet the demanding challenges of aircraft rescue and fire fighting, structural and industrial operations. The course is designed to meet ICAO's competency requirement in aircraft rescue and fire fighting.

OBJECTIVE

On successful completion of the course candidate will be able to perform in a better way the in rescue and fire fighting operations for aircraft & air emergencies, structural & industrial fires.

COURSE CONTENTS

  • Basic Fire Science, basic electricity, basic hydraulics & water supply, hoses and hose fittings, pump and primers, small gears,
  • Foam and foam making equipment, extinguishing medias,
  • Aircraft construction and fire hazards, airport fire hazards, aircraft crashes, aviation fuel and fuel tanks,
  • Emergency procedures, breathing apparatus, personal protective equipment, emergency
  • vehicles and ambulance, Grid maps and air traffic regulations, organization / fire service management, building fire, rural and urban fire,
  • Type of explosives & effects, radioactive materials, communication in fire service,
  • First aid training, physiology of respiration, search and rescue operations.

Basic Fire Fighter Training

Eligibility for AAI Officials

Level: Newly Recruited Junior Assistant (FS)
Age: As per AAI policy
Qualification: 10th Pass + 3 years approved regular diploma in Mechanical
/Automobile / Fire with minimum 50% marks;
OR
12th Pass (Regular Study) with minimum 50% marks
Eligibility: Entry level newly recruited Junior Assistant.

Eligibility for PSU/Private Firm/JV Airport Officials

Level: Newly Recruited Jr. Assistant/ Fireman/ Operator Application: Online/Offline
Age: Age limit 18 to 30 years at the time of admission. Qualification :10th Pass + 3 years approved regular diploma in Mechanical /Automobile / Fire with minimum 50% marks;
OR
Students must have passed Class 12 (Regular Study) scoring a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
Eligibility: Entry level official sponsored from PSU/Pvt Firm/ JV Airport.
Sponsored candidates must have been in service of the sponsoring organization at the time of admission.
Admission are subject to eligibility and merit list. (“First
Come First Serve” basis).

Eligibility for Private Candidates

Level: Private candidate Application: Online
Age limit 18 to 30 years at
the time of admission. Qualification :10th Pass + 3 years approved regular diploma in Mechanical
/Automobile / Fire with minimum 50% marks;
OR
12th Pass (Regular Study) with minimum 50% marks.

  1. Distant Vision - 6/6 with each eye without glasses.
  2. Near Vision – N-5 with each eye without glasses.
  3. (Visual evaluation is for each eye individually)
  4. Color Vision – Should be normal as determined by Ichihara’s charts
  5. Night Blindness – Absent
  6. Field of Vision – Each eye should have full field of vision as determined by confrontation test.
  7. Refractive error- No refractive error is Acceptable

Disqualification

Knocking knee, bow legs, degree of squint, flat footed, physical deformity, suffering from chronic disease, any major operation / surgery by virtue of which his physical fitness to work in Fire Services has been impaired will be considered as disqualification.

**Relaxation of 3 cms in height (for both male & female candidates) and chest measurements (only for male candidates) and proportionate relaxation in weight will be allowed to hilly area candidates on production of bonafide certificates. However, minimum chest expansion must be 5 cms (for male candidates). No other relaxation will be allowed to any other category.
